Plans & Subscriptions
Subscribe to the Standard plan (€298/yr) — you automatically earn the Verified Local badge, which puts you above the fold in your registered home municipality at no extra cost. If the Founding Member offer is still open in your country, you can sign up at €149/yr instead and get the same benefit plus the Founding Member badge and one municipality free for life.
Yes — but only in the organic results below the fold, ranked by profile completeness and reviews. You don't get a badge and you don't appear above the fold.
No. Verified Local, Claim, and Exclusive all require an active paid subscription (Standard €298/yr or Early Bird €149/yr). You can upgrade your plan at any time from your dashboard.
The badge is a trust signal to homeowners. We invest manual review time in verifying VAT registration data, business licences, and address proof for paying members — free-tier listings don't go through this review cycle. A small annual fee also signals to homeowners that the installer takes their business seriously.
There's no catch. It's a limited launch promotion to attract the first installers into each country. After the cohort fills, new installers pay Standard pricing at €298/yr excl. VAT. Founding Members keep their €149/yr excl. VAT rate for 3 years and earn a permanent badge plus one municipality free for life.
We don't publish a date or a count — the offer closes per country at our discretion when the cohort feels right. Greece will close before Bulgaria; each country has its own timeline. The longer you wait, the more risk that spots fill up.
Yes — it's capped. Once filled in your country, only Standard pricing (€298/yr excl. VAT) will be available. We don't publicly disclose the cohort size, so the best advice is to secure your spot when you see it open.
Yes — Techs.Solar is specifically designed for small and independent solar installers. Most of our subscribers are 2–10 person businesses; the platform is built around the reality that small installers can't compete with national chains on marketing budget alone. The free tier lets you join without any commitment to see if leads materialise in your area. Standard and Early Bird (Founding Member) tiers are priced for SMBs — typically well below what you'd spend on equivalent visibility through Google Ads or generic directories. Sole-operator installers are explicitly welcome.
No platform can honestly guarantee leads — they depend on homeowner demand in your area, your profile completeness, your reviews, and platform growth. What we DO offer: free-tier visibility from day one (you're listed for €0 and only pay when you choose to upgrade); real-time stats showing how many homeowners searched your area each month so you can measure before committing; and cancel anytime, no questions asked (Standard and Early Bird are annual but pro-rata refundable per our Terms). The honest truth: leads grow with your profile quality (photos, reviews, completeness) and platform growth in your Δήμος.
Founding Member
Yes. Founding Member is your subscription plan — it covers your Founding municipality free for life. Buying Claim in Glyfada is a separate €29/mo purchase, totally independent. You can buy as many Claim slots as you want in any municipalities that have slots available.
Slightly. Founding Members appear alongside other Claim holders above the fold, but if profile completeness is similar, Founding Members rank higher. You're not in a separate position above all Claims — you're in the same bucket with a tiebreak edge.
Your subscription auto-renews at the then-current Standard plan price (€298/yr today). Your Founding municipality stays included in your subscription at no extra cost — for life. Your permanent Founding Member badge stays forever. The only change is the subscription price.
Your subscription renews at the then-current standard plan price. However, your Founding LAU coverage stays free for life — that's a permanent benefit. Your Founding Member badge is also permanent. Any additional LAUs you want to cover beyond your Founding LAU are charged at the standard Claim tier rate (€29/mo in Greece at launch).
Yes — but it's a manual process to keep the system fair. Contact support with your updated VAT registration and business address. Once verified, we'll move your Founding spot to the new municipality, subject to availability of a Founding slot there. One switch per legitimate move.
Yes — you sign up at €149/yr (still saving 50% vs Standard, locked for 3 years), but you choose a different municipality as your Founding municipality — often a neighbouring area where you also serve customers. All Founding Member benefits apply to the municipality you chose.
It depends on population. Most rural Greek municipalities have 1 spot. Larger towns have 2–3. Major urban municipalities like Athens or Thessaloniki have up to 7. Check your area on the territory map — the live count shows on hover.
Bigger municipalities have more spots so homeowners in densely-populated areas have multiple installer options. The number is based on each municipality's population and density data sourced from Eurostat.
When you cancel, your Founding spot releases back to the pool immediately and your badge is revoked. Re-subscribing later means Standard pricing applies — Founding status is not auto-restored. We consider exceptions on a case-by-case basis (e.g. brief business pause for personal reasons) — contact support if your situation involves a legitimate transition.
Territory — Claim, Exclusive, Verified Local
Verified Local — the installer's business is registered in that municipality. They actually live and work there.

Your Claim subscription stays active and your slot is held. But while the Exclusive holder is active, only their profile appears above the fold; your Claim appears below the fold with organic results. When the Exclusive ends (cancellation or non-renewal), you're back above the fold. This is documented in our Territory Terms (§4).
Verified Local is a placement — you appear above the fold in your registered home municipality, free with any paid plan. The badge signals "we've verified they're really based here." Founding Member is a subscription plan — you signed up early at €149/yr, got a permanent badge, and one municipality free for life. You can be both: most Founding Members are also Verified Local. The badges stack on your profile.
Yes. Each slot subscription is independent. You could hold Exclusive in your prime market (€69/mo), Claim in 2 adjacent municipalities (€29/mo × 2), and Verified Local automatically in your registered home municipality (free). Total for that configuration: €127/mo plus your subscription plan rate.
You'll appear above the fold automatically as soon as you're on a paid plan (Verified Local is free with any paid plan, applied to your registered home municipality). If you're the only paid installer in your municipality, you appear at position 1 — no need for Claim or Exclusive.
Platform & Operations
The platform works fully on mobile browsers — installers manage leads, send quotes, and check stats from their phones every day. You can also install Techs.Solar as a PWA (Progressive Web App) to your phone's home screen via the "Install" prompt on your dashboard — it works offline, looks like a native app, and doesn't require downloading from the App Store. Native iOS/Android apps are not currently planned; PWA covers the same core use cases without the maintenance overhead.
Verification has three layers: (1) Email + mobile verification at signup — standard one-time codes. (2) Business entity verification — we cross-check your VAT number (ΑΦΜ) against ΓΕΜΗ (the Greek General Commercial Registry) to confirm your business name, legal form, and registered address. This is automatic and takes a few seconds during signup. (3) Optional professional certifications — you can submit ESPA, ΥΠΕΝ, TEE, or HEDNO (ΔΕΔΔΗΕ) credentials to earn additional trust badges on your profile. Steps 1 and 2 are required and complete during signup. Step 3 is optional — adds trust signals but doesn't gate any platform feature.
Compare Quotes is a homeowner-facing feature where a homeowner submits one project inquiry (e.g. "5 kWp solar + 5 kWh battery on a 100 m² roof in Penteli") and receives quotes from up to 3 verified installers in their area. As an installer, when a homeowner requests a Compare Quotes lead matching your service area, you receive the inquiry and can submit your quote within 48 hours. Unlike per-lead-purchase platforms (where you pay €30–60 per lead even before knowing if it converts), Compare Quotes leads are included with your subscription — no per-lead fee.
Members pool funds into a per-order smart-contract escrow on a public ledger. Your euros stay euros — MiCA-regulated EUR e-money via Monerium, redeemable 1:1 at any time. The contract releases payments to the supplier only when delivery milestones are signed off by two independent parties (manufacturer + shipping line). If any deadline passes unmet, refunds activate automatically — no human approval needed.
Practically: GPO orders run on a quarterly-ish cadence. You express interest in an open GPO, commit to quantities once the coordinator confirms volume and pricing, sign the Member Agreement electronically, then pay per the agreed schedule. Typical savings: 15–25% below distributor retail. No bank required. No escrow agent fee. The code is open source and currently in third-party security audit.
Cancellation & Refunds
When you cancel your platform subscription, all your territory tier subscriptions (Claim, Exclusive, Verified Local) become inactive at the end of the current billing period. The slots are released back to the open pool. If you re-subscribe later, you can buy them back — but they may have been taken by someone else in the meantime. On commitment length: Standard and Claim are monthly; Exclusive requires a 6-month minimum initial term, then converts to monthly. Cancellation always takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Yes, but it ends your Founding Member benefits. The €149 price lock is conditional on continuous Founding Member subscription. Downgrading converts you to Standard pricing immediately and your badge is revoked. The Founding municipality is released. You'd be a regular Standard subscriber from that point.
Pro-rata refunds are available if you cancel within a material change notice window, or at any time for any reason within the billing period. The formula: Refund = (price of current billing period) × (days remaining ÷ total days in period). Refunds are processed via the original payment method within 5 business days.
